I believe that for development with in the classroom a lot
of these web 2.0 technologies can be very useful. It just depends on if the
teachers are using them correctly. Blogs are a great way for students to get
their work off of paper and on to a site that is interactive. Instead of always
writing your essays and papers and just turning them in, it gives them another
way to submit essays. As well as another approach to a writing style. With
blogs you do not have to be as formal, you can add in other type of media also.
YouTube can also be very helpful in the classroom. A lot of teachers are tutors
have posted tutorials on YouTube which can help the students who are having
trouble understanding a topic get it. Just as stated in the podcast, YouTube is
a place where you can share videos and also find videos to understand an
important lesson or concept.
I would use delicious as a web 2.0 technology for my class.
Delicious would be a source where all the websites and articles that I find
important for the class. When working on a project are even for a lesson, if
students need help I can add important websites that could help them understand
more, to really grasp the information that was taught.
I believe that 3D printers will advance in the educational
world to come. I do not know necessarily how, but I do believe that it could be
very beneficial to learning. Making things come to life right then and there to
assist with learning will stimulate the students.
